The other night a voice came to me in a dream and claimed that Panos Cosmatos’ 2018 masterpiece Mandy is an inverted retelling of Eyes Wide Shut. I didn’t remember exactly what scenes the spooky voice had cited to make its case, so I went through the two films. And sure enough, I think spooky dream voice was onto something.
