Burning Man once presented itself as a model for a new transglobal consciousness, but now just feels like another artifact of a future that never came. It's still going - and still relatively well-attended - but it seems like a ritual in the "rote" sense than a living, breathing celebration. Will it be able to renew itself, or is it just another vestige of a fading 90s counterculture?
Very interested in hearing your thoughts on this, especially if you're a current or former Burner.
