One Man's Lonely War against Sex-Mad Martians

Kyle Andrew Odom is a decorated U.S. Marine who served from 2006 to 2010. After his military service, he earned a degree in biochemistry at the University of Idaho.

And on March 6, 2016, he was arrested for shooting Pastor Tim Remington outside the
non-denominational Altar Church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Strangely enough, Remington had made the news the day before he was shot: he delivered the invocation at a rally for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz.

Following the shooting, Odom flew to Washington, D.C., where he was arrested after throwing a duffel bag containing a copy of his manifesto and a flash drive over the White House fence. '

Odom’s manifesto claimed the planet was under the secret control of a race of amphibious Martians who are spiritually possessing human beings, and controlling the planet. Odom claiming that Pastor Remington was among those "Martians," and mentioned numerous members of Congress and government officials by name.

Note Osom’s Martian looks not at all unlike Pepe the Frog, who became a major story not long after the shooting story broke. Some Kek enthusiasts on 4Chan did notice this resemblance.

Odom was charged with being a fugitive from justice in Washington, D.C., and faced charges of attempted murder back in Idaho. He released his manifesto and an FAQ to local media, offering up a defense of his actions.

Odom claimed he shot Remington in response to a campaign of harassment and sexual abuse he received at the hands of the pastor and members of his congregation who were all secret alien shapeshifters:

“Things are not what they appear to be. The world is ruled by ancient civilization from Mars. Pastor Tim was one of them, and he was the reason my life was ruined… I shot Pastor Tim 12 times, there is no way any human could have survived that event."

Odom was a little fuzzy on the details— he actually shot Remington eight times, including in the head and the lung. But he does have a point; that's an awful lot of punishment for a human body to survive. And it sounds like Remington was doing almost shockingly well shortly after the shooting, and eventually made a full recovery.
